Mark the dates for the annual CarmelFest Celebration on July 4th & 5th. This event, sponsored by the Carmel Rotary Club, continues its 20+ year tradition as one of the biggest Independence Day Festivals in Indiana with an expected attendance of over 50,000. CarmelFest is a family-oriented festival focused on Patriotism and Community Spirit.
According to CarmelFest Chairperson, Gary Frey, “This year’s Celebration will continue its tradition of providing fun and entertainment for the entire community.”
Some of the key Events planned for the 2010 celebration include: a two-day Festival at the Carmel Civic Square, the fabulous “St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana Parade at CarmelFest”, the spectacular “B105.7 Fireworks at CarmelFest launched by Firestone”, an expanded interactive KidZone, Civil War re-enactors’ campground and the Freedom Run.
The two-day outdoor festival is set for Sunday – July 4th from Noon to 10 pm and Monday-July 5th Noon to 10:30 pm at the Carmel Civic Square (in the area surrounding the Carmel Courthouse, gazebo & fire department). The festival will include a KidZone with a petting zoo & pony rides along with games galore and interactive shows, the new Americana Zone with a classic car exhibit plus games & entertainment, an active marketplace area with community booths and displays plus arts/crafts, the “CarmelFest Has Talent” vocal competition at the gazebo, fantastic entertainment on three stages and more.
The “St.Vincent Heart Center Parade of CarmelFest” will take place on Monday – July 5th at 10:30 a.m. and the “B105.7 Fireworks at CarmelFest launched by Firestone” will brighten the skies on Monday evening starting at 9:45 p.m.
